Why am I not receiving any desktop notifications?

First things first, when Driff is open on your screen we will not sent you any browser notifications. After all, we don’t want to distract you when we don’t have to. Our goal is to make sure you get things done and therefore, we won’t bother you with any unnecessary notifications. However, in the case that you don’t receive any notifications even though Driff is not open, please walk through the following steps in order to solve this problem.

Step 1: Check whether your computer or laptop allows your browser to send push notifications

For Windows

  1. Go start
  2. Click on system and then on notifications
  3. Scroll down and search for your browser under notifications from apps and other senders
  4. Make sure notifications are on

For iOS

  1. Open your system preferences
  2. Go to notifications & focus
  3. Scroll through the list to find your browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox etcetera)
  4. Allow notifications by clicking on the slider on the top
  5. (Optional) adjust the notification settings per browser to your preferences. You can do this in the same window

Step 2: Check whether your browser enables the Driff website to send you push notifications

For Google Chrome

  1. Open your settings via the three little dots in the top right corner
  2. Click on privacy & security
  3. Go to site settings
  4. Under permissions open notifications
  5. Check whether you allowed Driff to send you notifications

For Safari

  1. Click on safari in the top of your screen and open preferences
  2. Scroll down to notifications
  3. Make sure that Driff is allowed to send notifications

For Firefox

  1. Open your Firefox settings by clicking on the three little lines in the top right corner
  2. Go to privacy & security
  3. Scroll down to notifications under permissions and open the settings by clicking on settings
  4. Make sure that Driff is in the list and that the status is set to ‘allow
